02 — Challenge
Retail bagging depended on manual weighing, bagging and hand-pack stations sitting downstream of existing vacuum packaging and metal detection.
Overpack was structural: portioning had no live signal from batching, so the distribution curve was protected with product instead of data.

04 — Scope
- Layout from feed cross conveyor and batcher infeed through singulation/merge, scan grader/batcher, bagger incline feed and packaging outfeed
- Existing Multivac and metal detector retained and re-integrated rather than replaced
- Portioner and batcher both on Marelec Matrix Pro — integrated so the batcher feeds real-time portioning requirements upstream and holds the optimal distribution curve
- Portion-to-batch in real time as the mechanism for structural overpack reduction
- Manual bagging, weighing and hand-pack stations consolidated out: 16 headcount reduction
- Sorting-version layout developed in parallel to converge with the Super Sorting program
